About Me

I am now reading Human, Social and Political Sciences at Jesus College, Cambridge.

Outside my studies, I am a keen debater and also very interested in technology and investment management. I co-founded a Model United Nations club at my school which developed my skills in organisation and independent research. Together, we grew the club from 6 founders to 30 delegates at a conference in the following year and the club continues to meet to the present day. Running the club also stimulated my interest in finding solutions to global problems.

I have undertaken a range of work experience opportunities in the management consulting, financial services and political sectors. I hope to enjoy a long and successful career, built on values of strong professional relationships, integrity and problem solving.

Work Experience & Shadowing
September 2016 - April 2017
Analyst - Accenture, London

1 of 16 A Level students selected from more than 1,000 applicants to take part in the Horizons Gap Year Internship Programme at Accenture.

For the second half of my placement, I was aligned to Accenture's Border Services practice as a Business Development Analyst. In this role, I worked on a number of different projects in the EU and worldwide, reporting directly to Accenture's Global Managing Director for Border Services. Work undertaken included quantitative research and analysis of Customs and Border Agencies globally, the development of thought leadership materials, assisting in bid work and business development documentation and developing high level solution proposals.

Softer skills developed included working with a globally diverse and dispersed team, often to tight deadlines. Engaged on a range of different projects at once also helped improve me organisational skills, allowing me to be more dynamic and adaptive. My work also demanded different writing skills, from highly detailed, essay style deliverables through to marketing materials designed to make complex solutions, technologies and use cases accessible to our clients.

I also spent four months working on a project within the Health and Public Services sector as a Functional Application Designer.

Responsibilities included:
  • - Functional designer with ownership of all User Interface (UI) deliverables for a functional design phase.

    • - Assisted with drafting other Fuctional Design documentation.

    • - Assisting with requirements gathering and reviewing.

    • - Co-located with Build and Test teams to resolve design queries and provide functional expertise.

July - August 2015
Youth Leader on Noam Mazorti Youth

Planning immersive programmes for the children I led on a two week summer camp in July 2015 developed practical skills such as project co-ordination, time management and working in a team with my fellow leaders to make camp as successful as possible.

As a research intern at Cavendish, my main task during my time was to carry out a research package for Joe Stelzer (Managing Partner) which included investigating the financials and growth prospects of a number of companies in relation to sell side M&A.

July 2015

Work experience at Canaccord allowed me to spend time with traders and discovering how the company researches a range of stocks and funds to find investments that provide a healthy return for Canaccord's clients. I also spent time shadowing one of Canaccord's compliance officers and finding out how Canaccord fulfils their stringent regulatory requirements.

September 2014 - March 2015
Teaching Assistant at Westminster Academy School, Royal Oak, London

I volunteered half a day weekly at Westminster Academy School giving one on one support to students in the school where English was not their primary language. Using a range of exercises given to me by teachers at the school, I supported the students as they worked to improve their written and spoken English.

February 2015

I returned to the office of Luciana Berger MP to do more work experience in the February half term of 2015. This work experience saw me learning more about Ms Berger's then position as Shadow Minister for Public Health, attending and taking notes at various meetings including one discussing Foetal Alcohol Syndrome. I then contributed to a speech that Ms Berger was giving to launch a Labour Party funded report into Mental Health provision in the UK before visiting Ms Berger's constituency to discuss her constituents' needs during an afternoon of door-knocking.

July 2014

I worked as an intern in the office of Luciana Berger MP in July 2014. During my first work experience with Luciana Berger MP, I shadowed her at a series of public meetings and events. I also worked on a stakeholder relations Excel database to streamline the way that Luciana interacts with her contacts.

July 2012
